Seeking volunteers to participate in Griffith Film School Honours Research Project
 

“Demystifying Asian-Australian Marriage Myths”
 

PROJECT AIM: Challenging negative connotations and images associated with women from South-East Asian background married to white Australian men through production of a documentary.

BENEFITS OF RESEARCH: To contribute to the documentation of authentic experiences of couples in inter-cultural marriages.

VOLUNTEERS NEED TO BE:
WHAT IS INVOLVED? There will be an initial 20 minute phone consultation. Following the phone interview, the participant can request an optional face to face meeting for further clarification (approximately 20 minutes). Finally, the video interview will take place (by mutual agreement) either at the participant’s residence or at the Griffith Film School Studio. The film recording can take up to an hour and a half.

(Optional) In order to document the authentic experiences of Asian/White Australian inter-cultural marriages, I would like to interview both yourself and your partner. However, if your partner is unavailable for interview, I would still like to interview you individually.
