Update: On June 27, former president Joseph Estrada was arraigned on the charge of perjury. The arraignment hearing on the charge of plunder was reset to July 10. The perjury case will resume on August 2. Meanwhile, Estrada will remain in detention for the duration of the case as plunder is a non-bailable offence. Although he would prefer to be under house arrest, he is currently detained at the Veteran's Memorial Medical Center.
