Asian Regional Initiative Against Trafficking of Women and Girls

The Philippines and the US Government will be co-hosting a meeting in Manila, 29-31 March 2000, entitled the Asian Regional Initiative Against the Trafficking of Women and Girls (ARIAT).

The meeting will be attended by government officials and representatives from intergovernmental and non-government organisations. The meeting is intended to be a practical workshop to develop a regional action plan to reduce the trafficking of women and children. ECPAT Australia is one of two Australian NGOs to be invited to attend ARIAT.
